Meet Candia
Candia Nelson (she/her)
I’m Candia Nelson, Founder & Systems Strategist at Soft Logic | AIDNAC LLC, where we help small businesses and purpose-driven teams embrace technology without sacrificing their values. I'm an IT strategist with 12+ years across workforce‑management SaaS, cybersecurity, AI training, and repair services. I run full‑cycle SaaS rollouts, turning roadmaps into client wins while debugging APIs, HTML/JS, and Java services. As founder of a community IT repair business, I champion secure, scalable solutions and mentor teams to close the digital divide.
As the Regional Chapter Chair for Women of Mississippi in AI Governance with WIAIG, Candia Nelson leads with a deep commitment to ethical innovation, digital dignity, and culturally grounded policy. In this role, she convenes local leaders, facilitates community-centered dialogue on AI governance, and works to ensure that the voices and values of Mississippi are represented in the shaping of emerging technologies. Through strategic advocacy and systems fluency, Candia bridges the gap between grassroots wisdom and global AI ethics frameworks.
As a mother, technologist, and crafter, Candia’s work is rooted in dignity, consent, and care. Her mission: to help others build systems that listen, not extract.

Our Ethos
We believe in:
Tech that honors people and planet
We believe technology should serve life, not extract from it. That means building and using tools that protect privacy, reduce harm, and support ecological and social well-being. Honoring people and planet means designing systems that are not just efficient, but ethical, not just scalable, but sustainable.
Digital wellness as a form of collective care
When we talk about digital wellness, we’re not just talking about screen time. We’re talking about sovereignty, safety, and rest. Collective care means supporting each other in making tech choices that align with our nervous systems, our communities, and our futures. It’s a liberation practice, one click, one boundary, one breath at a time.
Systems that reflect our values not just our tasks
Too many digital systems are built to measure output, not alignment. At Soft Logic, we believe the way we organize our tools should mirror the world we’re trying to build. Consent, clarity, accessibility, these aren’t extras. They’re the architecture. Systems should make your values visible, not invisible.
We see a similar pattern outside of science. In education, hiring, healthcare, and media. Algorithms are constantly trained to reward engagement, not accuracy. They learn which ideas get clicks, which phrases get shared, which language feels persuasive. Over time, those patterns become predictive rules.
That is how bias becomes baseline.
